China Visa Check Guide ("we", "the site") is an independent informational tool operated for the benefit of foreign travelers. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

When you submit the query form, the following fields are sent to our server temporarily to compute a result:

• Nationality (country code)
• Arrival and departure dates
• Ports of entry and exit
• Intermediate cities (optional)
• Onward country / region (optional)

These inputs are not linked to your identity. We do not ask for your name, passport number, email, phone number, or any document.

2. What we do NOT collect

• No passport, ID, or biometric data
• No payment information
• No account registration required
• No cross-site tracking cookies

3. How your data is used

Query inputs are processed in-memory to return your visa check result. They are not stored in a user-linked database. Anonymous request logs (IP, timestamp, User-Agent, requested endpoint, response code) are kept for up to 30 days for the sole purpose of:

• Rate-limiting and preventing abuse
• Diagnosing service errors
• Aggregate traffic statistics

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

4. Cookies

We use only necessary browser storage:

• ceg-lang in localStorage — your preferred language, so you don't have to reselect it.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar behavioral trackers.

5. Data hosting

Our servers are located in Alibaba Cloud Hong Kong. This means query traffic is processed outside Mainland China. Traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.

6. Your rights (GDPR / Hong Kong PDPO)

If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or Hong Kong (PDPO), you have the right to:

• Ask what data we have about you (in practice: none, since we don't identify you)
• Request deletion of any data linked to you
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Third parties

We load web fonts from Google Fonts. Google Fonts may log your IP address when serving font files. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
