What this site is

China Visa Check Guide is a free web tool for foreign travelers to quickly check whether they need a visa to enter Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau, and to get suggested routes that satisfy the 240-hour transit visa-free rules. It aggregates publicly available policy information into one place so travelers don't have to piece it together from multiple government websites.

Data sources

Policy content is compiled from public official announcements, including:

• National Immigration Administration (NIA) — www.nia.gov.cn
• Consular Service Website of the MFA — cs.mfa.gov.cn
• Hong Kong Immigration Department — www.immd.gov.hk
• Macau Public Security Police Force — www.fsm.gov.mo

An automated crawler monitors these sources daily. Every result page shows the "policy data updated" timestamp so you can verify how fresh the data is.

Disclaimer of liability

Visa and immigration policies change frequently and are subject to interpretation by individual border officers. While we do our best to keep information current and accurate, you must confirm with the Chinese Embassy / Consulate in your country or with the National Immigration Administration before you travel. We accept no liability for:
